Restaurante Pavia

Pestaurante Pavia
Calle del Guerrero 29-75, Getsemani, Cartagena

Hanging out in Medellin's el Poblado neighborhood and looking for some Italian food?  Look no further than Pizzas, Quesanas, y Lasanas, on main drag Calle 10, just a block from Parque el Poblado.  Owner Orlando has been in this great little spot for over seven years, serving up a great variety of Italian food at reasonable prices.  The pasta dishes and lasana are authentically Italian and delicious.  Or if you're in the mood for something a little more healthy, try one of the many salads, which are bursting with generous portions of tasty ingredients like avocado, tomato, mushrooms, olives, and carrots.

All pastas and lasanas come accompanied with a portion of tasty garlic bread, and for just $500 COP more, you can get another portion.  And make sure to try one of their delicious natural juices (jugos naturales) in water or milk...typical choices include strawberry (fresa), mora (blackberry), maracuya (passionfruit), and guanabana (soursop).  If you want to spice things up a little bit, ask for some aceite de oliva con aji (olive oil infused with aji peppers), and drizzle a little bit on your pasta.  Orlando and his staff are sure to put a smile on your face with their warm and friendly service.  And if you're wondering what a "quesana" is, it's like a lasana, but with layers of cheese instead of layers of pasta.  Right now they are offering a great promotion as well: 2 lasanas, quesanas, or pasta dishes for only $15.000 COP!

With great, friendly service, good prices, and a wide range of surprisingly delectable Italian food, there's only one problem here.  There just isn't enough space!  There is seating space for six inside, and on weekends and nights they usually put tables outside to accommodate up to ten or twelve people in total.  Fortunately things are going so well that they are expanding into the building next door, a sign of success for sure.  They also offer servicio domicilio (home delivery) for just $1.300 COP.

All in all, Gringo David gives this restaurant two thumbs up, way up, they just need more space for diners to eat!:
