Parque El Poblado

Parque El Poblado
Southwest corner of Avenida El Poblado and Calle 10, El Poblado, Medellin

Medellin's Parque El Poblado is one of the city's focal points. It's on the southern side of Calle 10, El Poblado's main artery running east to west, and just west of Avenida El Poblado, one of the city's most important north south thoroughfares, which also turns in the the Oriental (Carrera 43A).

It's a great spot to grab a seat on a park bench with some friends and enjoy some cold Colombian beer. Just on the other side of Avenida El Poblado you'll find the stately brick San Jose de El Poblado church. This is where the city of Medellin was founded in 1616 by European immigrants.

Parque El Poblado is readily accessible from the El Poblado metro station. It's also just a few minutes from the enormous Exito, and five minutes down the hill (west) from Parque Lleras.

From here you can also catch buses to almost anywhere in the city.
